Dont Play With Mobile Phones When flying!!

It's easy to blame captain of the ill-fated Air India Express For the tragic accident that occured in Mangalore, Since he is not there to defend his case. Also, one can blame the airline management for not maintaining the aircrafts.

However, I would request all the airline passangers to do an introspection of their role on board, and the readers to consider the following facts before handing over the death penalty. The state-of-the-art plane(B-737-800) was industed on january 15,2008. Hence once cannot say that its conditions were so bad.

Every Day,32 domestic and International flights operate from Managalore airport. hence , one cannot caregorically say that the airport or its runway were not safe for landing.

Fifty three-year-old Captain Zlatko Glusica who died in the crash had 10.200 hours of flying experience and his licence had been endorsed by the Directorate of General of Civil Aviation, India. The commander has flawn in and out of Mangalore airport atleast 19 times, while the co-pilot had operated 66 timesfrom the same airport. So the pilot and co-pilot were fully familiar with the landing at Mangalore Airtport, and therefore it's not right to put the blame on the pilots. Further , the commander did not report any malfunction before landing to the Air Traffice COntrol(ATC). Visibility at the airport on the day of the accident was six km,'Which is more than that required', When the ill-fated plane landed in Mangalore.

So then, what could be the rrason for this air crash,Posible malfunctioning of the navigational system during the landing process caused by a cell-phone switched on by an ignorant passanger? I have noticed that many passengers switch on their mobile phones while landing as if they are in a race to inform their arival. It is also possible that some one did not switch off the mobile phone while takeing off from Dubai, despite being warned by the cabin crew, and it started searching for signals as hte flight descended at Mangalore airport, which could have interfered with the functions of the landing systems?

It should be noted that all three recent air crashes--the first one at Ressia killing the Polish Prime Minister and his team, the second one at Libya and now airindia express at Mangalore-- all occurred while trying to land, thereby strengthening my suspicion about the possible interference in the navigational system by cell phone signals. Any takers?

Joomla Contact Email Form does not send me emails

Hi.. usually we have many  joomla website administrators facing the problem that-
I have setup the Joomla contact form so that registered users can send me emails. The problem is... I never get them. It's not working. so i thought of  providing the steps. Which will help to solve this issue.

Step 1: Login to your site with the url http://yoursitename/Administrator .
Step 2:  Login via your user name and password..
Step 3:  First you need to create a new Contacts Category. For this purpose go to Components -> Contacts -> Categories:

Step 4: Click on [New]. Since we plan to have a simple Contact Us page, you should create only one single category. We will use "General" for its name in the tutorial. Enter "General" under title then click on [Save].

Step 4: Go to Components -> Contacts -> Contacts:

Step 5: Click on [New] and fill in the information. You have to make sure the email you enter is valid since all the mails you receive via this Joomla contact form will be sent to it. Else u will not recive the mails when user registers in your website.

Step 6: In order to avoid having your contact's name duplicated later, from the right box "Contacts parameters" check the button Hide next to "Name".

Step 7. Leave the rest of the default options unchanged and click on [Save] from the top-right menu.

Step 8:  Once the form is created check the check box next to the contact name in which u have created the form and click on the parameter button on the right hand side top and make sure that session check radio button is yes and and set custom replay to No

Step 9: Check for mail settings in global configuration and specify the mail from and from name and the mail path correctly

Step 10: Now test by registering as a user and you will receive a mail to the mail id you have specified in the contact us form. Enjoy....
